Alice Jean Weikert

Alice Jean Weikert, 81, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, entered into eternal rest on July 12th, 2022 at Greentree Mt. Vernon Assisted Living and Memory Care in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

She was born in Geneva, Illinois on October 24th, 1940 to Wilbur Lincoln and Betty G. (Brace) Beard.

Alice married George Weikert on April 25th, 1959 and he preceded her in death on October 21st, 2018.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, (1) Sister – Deanna Lynn Beard and Brother-in-Law – Gary Stone.

Alice was a 1958 graduate of St. Charles High School in St. Charles, Illinois and had been co-owner with her husband of Coast to Coast Hardware in Lawrenceville, Illinois from 1978 -1986.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Geneva, Illinois and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Alice is survived by:

(1) Son – Steven J. Weikert of Lawrenceville, Illinois

(1) Daughter – Janet L. Shackley of Stanwood, Washington

(2) Sisters – Donna L. Hodges (Donald) of New Albany, Mississippi
                   Cheryl A. Stone of Ozark, Missouri

(4) Grandchildren            (12) Great-Grandchildren

GRAVESIDE CEREMONY
A Graveside Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Darrell Wineinger on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Crystal Community Cemetery in Crystal, Indiana.
