Bea Hopper

Beatrice “Bea” Sue Hopper, 69, of Dubois, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on February 24th, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 16th, 1955 to Ralph and Mary (Crowe) Brosmer.

Bea married Billie Joe “Bill” Hopper on June 28th, 1975 and he preceded her in death on July 22nd, 2023.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; Sister – Millie Zehr; (9) Grandchildren and Nephews – Dallas Brosmer and Riley Mullis.

Bea was a 1974 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School and worked at Kimball Electronics and Piano Plant for 45 years before retiring. 

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing bingo and volunteering with the Exchange Club.

Bea is survived by:

Daughters – Amy Jones (Phillip) of Dubois, Indiana

                     Carrie Newlin (Danny) of Dubois, Indiana

Son – Jared Hopper (Lynley Bennett) of Birdseye, Indiana

Brothers – Terry Brosmer of Dubois, Indiana

                    Charlie Brosmer (Lorrie) of Shoals, Indiana

Grandchildren – Makayla Jones Ray (Kaden), Kira Jones (Remington Rutherford), Austin Hopper, Dusty Hopper (Gracie Whitaker), Billie Newlin, Ryan Hopper and Bryan Newlin

Great-Grandchildren – Kaberick Jones, Kamden Ray, Kolt Jones and Paisley Edwards

Extended Family – Gary, Karen and Carl Jones, Debbie Poehlein, The Ray Family, The Newlin Family, Lindsey, Ray, Hunter Potts (Olivia Clark), Liam Parks, Ethan Blassingame and Ron and Barb Rasche

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Al Madden on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date at Ames Chapel Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, March 1st, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
