Betty Roberts

Betty (Emmons) Roberts, 77, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on June 8th, 2024.

She was born in Shoals, Indiana on February 20th, 1947 to Bert and Essie (Qualkenbush) Emmons.

Betty married her beloved Gerald “Jerry” Roberts on May 22nd, 1970 and he preceded her in death on March 30th, 2022.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents; Sisters – Louise Harrison, Lois Jones, Ruth Emmons and Alma Qualkinbush; and Brothers – Walter “Tan” Emmons, Bert “Bud” Emmons and Norman Emmons.

Betty worked at Kimball Piano for several years where she developed cherished friendships and memories.  She was a dedicated wife, loving mother and grandmother, and spunky sister.  Back in her hay day she would drag race her 1966 Ford convertible, and that lead to meeting her husband of 50 plus years.

She enjoyed traveling and gathering with her family, time with her dog, Toby Jack and the annual family holiday marathon shopping trip.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

She is survived by:    

Daughters – Bonnie Wininger of Jasper, Indiana
                     Donna Roberts of Mitchell, Indiana

Brother – Cecil Emmons (Marilyn) of French Lick, Indiana

Grandchildren – Kyle Friedman (Kendra) of Dubois, Indiana
                           Kiona Durcholz (Jacob) of Jasper, Indiana
                            Tori Burton of West Baden Springs, Indiana

Great-Grandchildren – Hawkins and Hyland Friedman and Baby Durcholz (August, 2024).

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Springs Valley Wesleyan Church to support their ministry, 586 S. Indiana Avenue, French Lick, IN 47432.
