Billie Lea Weikert

Billie Lea Weikert, 81, of Jasper, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on October 10th, 2023 at Northwood Good Samaritan Society in Jasper, Indiana.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana on May 4th, 1942 to Richard and Vera (Kail) Dixon.

Billie married James Weikert on August 11th, 1962 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Sister – Betty Ann and Brother – Gordon Dixon.

Billie was a 1960 graduate of Springs Valley High School, former President of Dubois County Homemakers, former member of the Village Homemakers and member of Crystal Community Church where she played the Piano. 

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, vacationing and making people laugh. There was never a dull moment when she was around

Billie is survived by:

Son – Tom Weikert (Beverly) of French Lick, Indiana

Daughters – Kathy Hazelwood (Everett) of French Lick, Indiana
             Denise Gutgsell (Bruce) of Celestine, Indiana
             Liz Welp (Rodney) of Ferdinand, Indiana

Brother – Richard “Dickie” Dixon of French Lick, Indiana

Sister – Annette Fahey (Steve) of Shoals, Indiana

Several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews     

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Mike Stout on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Crystal Community Cemetery.

VISITATION
Visitation will be on Monday, October 16th, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Crystal Community Cemetery, c/o Melvin Jones, 9097 N. 900 E., Dubois, Indiana 47527.
