Brenda J. Prickett

Brenda J. (Weaver) Prickett, 84, a long-time resident of Indianapolis, died on July 24th, 2024.

Born in French Lick, Indiana to Estel and Gladys (Jackman) Weaver on June 20th, 1940. She was the youngest of four siblings, who all preceded her in death: Harold Weaver, Glen Weaver (Josephine) and Juanita (Weaver) Kunkel.

She is survived by her four sons: Bryant, Christopher (Charlene), Brad (Lori) and Troy (Debra).

Known as “B” or “Bee,” she was the proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Matthew Allbright (Elizabeth), Jordan Kyle Allbright (Emily), Andrew Allbright (Katie), Nathaniel Allbright, Savannah Shinaberry (Ryan), Shannon Allbright Walter (Nick), Jacob Allbright, Kenton Allbright and Evan Allbright. She was also the doting great-grandmother to six youngsters, with three on the way in the coming months. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their growing families.

Over the last 20 years of her working life, Brenda was a car salesperson for various car dealerships in Indianapolis, which were Don Hinds Ford, Andy Mohr Chevrolet, Palmer Dodge and Dan Young Chevrolet, often working alongside her son, Brad.

Brenda was the co-owner/operator of a real estate company, Prickett Realty, on the east side of Indianapolis with her then-husband, Robert R. Prickett. She was a member of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Board of Realtors.

Brenda loved family gatherings, old movies, following current politics, looking at social media and working in her garden around her house.


GRAVESIDE CEREMONY

A Graveside Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Doug Finney on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Ames Chapel Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ames Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Connie Kearby, 2225 N. County Road 575 W., West Baden Springs, Indiana 47469.
