Carol Ann Hendrix

Carol Ann Hendrix, 84, of Paoli, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on April 24th, 2025 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care in Jasper, Indiana.

She was born in Porter County, Indiana on November 16th, 1940 to Kenneth and Birgit “Gale” (Perrson) Mayfield and was raised in her grandparents’ home – George and Eva Mayfield.

Carol married Wallace Hendrix on September 14th, 1959 and he survives.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Infant son - David Roger Hendrix and Brother – Terry Mayfield.

Carol was a 1958 graduate of Springs Valley High School and the Ivy Tech nursing program in 1977. She had been employed at French Lick Bank, Travelers, the Shoe Factory, and 20 plus years at Gentlecare Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Springs Valley Wesleyan Church where she was involved in the prayer shawl ministry, a member of Wickliffe Homemakers, and Springs Valley Fellowship of Christian Women.

Carol enjoyed her cats, RVing, boating, reading, writing poetry and loved her family and the Lord.

She is survived by:

Husband – Wallace Hendrix

Son – Stephen Hendrix (Mattie)

Daughter – Marsha Quinn (Brian)

Grandchildren –Becky, Tiffany, Sara, Daniel, and Connor

Great-Grandchildren – McKinsey, Beckham, McKayla, Ryan, Bennson, Kaylee, Lydia, Derick, Decon, Paisley, and Easton

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Springs Valley Wesleyan Church with burial to follow at a later date at Anderson Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 28th, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home and on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Springs Valley Wesleyan Church, 586 S. Indiana Avenue, French Lick, IN 47432.
