Cindy graduated from Springs Valley High School in 1966 and dedicated 52 years to the office furniture industry. She retired as a final inspector from Jasper Group on July 11, 2018. Cindy's love extended to her many pets over the years, including her horse, Bill, and dogs Max, Minnie, Scarlett, Cheyanne, Hopi, and Leo. As a frequent visitor to the Louisville Zoo, she found joy and peace watching the gorillas, a favorite pastime that reflected her gentle and observant nature. She enjoyed reading as a hobby.

Sister, Linda (Fred) Livingston; nephew, Michael (Christie) Livingston; niece, Michelle (Brent) Sternberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy Carnes, and her husband, Clyde Thacker.

In accordance with her wishes, no funeral services will be held. Cindy's life and legacy will continue to be celebrated by her family and friends through the memories they hold dear.
