Daniel Mark Hornyak, Sr.

Daniel Mark Hornyak, Sr., age 71, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on June 7th, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in East Chicago, Indiana on June 14th, 1950 to Steve and Lucille (Pavnica) Hornyak.

Dan was preceded in death by his Parents.

He was a 1968 graduate of Clark High School, member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

Dan retired from the Department of Natural Resources where he was head of security at Patoka Lake.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and being outdoors, and loved Notre Dame Football.

He is survived by:

(1) Son – Daniel Mark “Opie” Hornyak, Jr. of French Lick, Indiana

(3) Daughters – Tammy Hanes (Jeff) of Tell City, Indiana
                         Celeste Hornyak of Kansas
                         Aimee Manning of Alabama

(3) Brothers – Mark Hornyak of Whiting, Indiana
                      Mike Svorcina of Chicago, Illinois
                      Billy Hornyak of Hammond, Indiana

(5) Grandchildren – Anthony, Michael, Danielle, Lyanna and Logan

(1) Great-Grandchild

FUNERAL MASS
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by the Very Reverend Joseph Moriarty on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church with burial to follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation for friends will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to      Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, 8796 W. State Road 56, French Lick, IN 47432.
