Donald J. “Duke” Emmons, 78, of West Baden Springs, Indiana received his angel wings on December 15th, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in West Baden Springs, Indiana on August 1st, 1946 to William Earl and Edith Pearl (Jones) Emmons.

Duke was preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers – William Dean and Denver Emmons; Brothers-in-law – Warren Stephenson and Joe Robison; Sister-in-law – Jeanette Emmons; and Nephews – Glen and Ryan Emmons.

He was a 1965 graduate of Springs Valley High School and proudly served his country in the Army Reserves. Duke was a member of the West Baden United Methodist Church and International Labor Union Local 741, where he enjoyed attending meetings and other activities.

Duke was a long-time employee of Krempp Construction Company of Jasper, Indiana, retiring in 2006 and owned and worked on his farm in Dubois County.

He loved to travel having taken several road trips and cruises to Alaska, New England and the Caribbean and visiting with family and friends.

Duke is survived by:

Companion of over 30 years - Carolyn Neukam of West Baden Springs, Indiana

Brother – David Emmons of West Baden Springs, Indiana

Sisters – Arnetta Robison

 Norma Stephenson of West Baden Springs, Indiana

 Donna Quinn (Tony) of Hillham, Indiana

Sister-in-law – Doris Emmons of French Lick, Indiana

 FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt and Pastor Jim Bennett on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, December 21st, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral home and 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday.
