Duane McCune

Duane McCune, 93, of Cuzco, Indiana entered into eternal rest on January 19th, 2023 at Good Samaritan Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana

He was born in Cuzco, Indiana on August 11th, 1929 to Victor and Ada (Owen) McCune.

Duane married Patricia E. “Patty” Bledsoe on May 24th, 1947 and she preceded him in death on August 19th, 2020.

He was also preceded in death by his Parents; (1) Son – Martin Scott McCune; (1) Sister – Arlene Schneider; and 
(1) Brother – Jack McCune. 

Duane was a 1947 graduate of Cuzco High School, was on the cemetery board of Cuzco Cemetery for many years, 
former school board and original member of NE Dubois Schools, and retired from Breidenbaugh Concrete where he was 
Plant Manager.

He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and his family.

Duane is survived by:

(1) Son – James “Vic” Victor McCune (Eva) of Jasper, Indiana

(1) Daughter – Diane Wheeler of Fishers, Indiana

(1) Brother – Max McCune of Jasper, Indiana

(2) Sisters – JoAnn Cramer of Terre Haute, Indiana
             Judy McCune of Salem, Indiana
                                    
(2) Grandchildren – A.J. McCune of Huntingburg, Indiana and Katherine Gardner (Jeffrey) of Fishers, Indiana.

(2) Great-Grandchildren – William and Jonathan Gardner

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Doug Finney on Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at
Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cuzco Cemetery.

VISITATION 
Visitation for friends and family will be Monday, January 23rd, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cuzco Cemetery, c/o Peggy Burton,
5769 N. Cuzco Road S, Dubois, IN 47527.
