Emery Robert Johnson, age 88, of West Baden Springs, Indiana passed away on July 6, 2014, at Medco Health and Rehabilitation Center French Lick, Indiana.
He was born on May 26th, 1926 in Bloomington, Indiana to Elva Johnson and Martha “Thayer†Johnson.
Emery married Betty Tarr on March 15th, 1957.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, (2) sisters and (1) brother.
Emery was a member of the Church of Christ and graduated with the Orleans High School Class of 1944.
He was self-employed and ran his own sawmill.
He is survived by:
(3) Sons Charles Franklin Johnson (Tammie) West Baden Springs, Indiana
George Tarr Johnson (Gina) Paoli, Indiana
Daniel Arthur Johnson West Baden Springs, Indiana
(1) Daughter Phoebe Ann Freeman (Rudy) French Lick, Indiana
(9) Grandchildren (3) Great-Grandchildren
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 11th, 2014, at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick, Indiana. Friends may call from 3:00 PM on Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Bro. Mike Davis will officiate.
