Eva Jeaniene Weaver, 84, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at her residence following a 3-year battle with cancer.
She was born in French Lick, Indiana on November 25th, 1935 to Oval and Lois (Martin) Curtis.
Jeaniene married Rex Weaver on January 7th, 1953 and he preceded her in death on October 31st, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; (1) Son – David Mark Weaver; and Grandson – Matthew Wayne.
Jeaniene had worked for Springs Valley Community Schools where she retired after more than 35 years.
She and her husband Rex enjoyed traveling the highways and byways of the country, often accompanied by family or friends. She especially enjoyed the lighthouses of Michigan.
Jeaniene enjoyed crafts, reading, painting and her favorite holidays – Halloween and Christmas. Thursdays were always spent with her life long best friend visiting shops and restaurants around Southern Indiana.
Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends.
In Jeaniene’s own words:
Her yesterdays are laid away in lavender. Neatly wrapped in layers of remembrance. Her todays she wore upon her face. Brightly polished to days that caught the sun’s most brilliant rays. And for tomorrow she kept the door of her heart ajar to meet whatever might come. That now beyond that shadowland. Where all is bright and fair. We know full well those dear dear hands. Will psalms of victory wear and where crystal streams through endless years flow over golden sands and where the old grow young again. You there may clasp her hand.
She is survived by:
(3) Sons Scott Gordon Weaver (Barbara) Fernandina Beach, Florida
Myron Rex Weaver (Tamela) French Lick, Indiana
Jon Kelly Weaver (Maria) Gilbert, Arizona
