Glenda L. Emmons, 82, of Shoals, Indiana passed away on May 11th, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Orange County, Indiana on July 7th, 1935 to Fred and Roma (Wininger) Qualkenbush.
Glenda married Estel D. Emmons on October 24th, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 22nd, 2012.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Glenda was a member of the Higher Grounds United Pentecostal Church, she loved listening to gospel music and deeply cherished spending time with her loving family especially her grandchildren.
She worked at the Dime Store, owned G&Eâs in Prospect for many years and had also previously worked at Chicagoâs Pizza.
Glenda is survived by:
(1) Son Stacy Emmons (Kendra) Fort Branch, Indiana
(2) Daughters Darla Flick (Ron) Shoals, Indiana
Rhonda Britz (Leonard) Stevens Point, Wisconsin
(5) Grandchildren Quiana Emmons, Jacie Moffatt, Brady Shipman, Leonard Britz and Eric Britz
(2) Great-Grandchildren Skyla and Kaydin Emmons
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Brian Harrison on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel in French Lick, Indiana. Interment will follow in Emmons Ridge Cemetery in Hillham, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may call Monday, May 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Higher Grounds United Pentecostal Church, 770 South Bears Bend Road, French Lick, Indiana 47432.
