Kay Walls

Kay Walls, age 81, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on January 4th, 2023 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.

She was born at West Baden Springs, Indiana on October 13th, 1941 to Noral “Pete” and Esther (Carnes) Hammond.

Kay married Stephen Walter Walls on October 2nd, 1962 and he preceded her in death on April 30th, 2009.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents; (1) Son – Randall Walls; (1) Granddaughter – Heather Lynne Walls; 
And (1) Sister – Carolyn Collier.

Kay was a 1959 graduate of Springs Valley High School and retired after 37 years working at Head Start as a teacher.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, crafts, watching hummingbirds, watching softball and loved her family and the many children she taught while at Head Start.

Kay is survived by:

(1) Daughter – Darcy Culligan (Jason) of Evansville, Indiana

(3) Brothers -Charles “Buddy Hammond (Faye) of West Baden Springs, Indiana
                      Jay Hammond (Lisa) of West Baden Springs, Indiana
                      Richard Hammond (Sandy) of Paoli, Indiana

(5) Sisters – Mary Allen of French Lick, Indiana
                    Ida Holland of West Baden Springs, Indiana
                    Agnes Robling (Lowell) of West Baden Springs, Indiana
                    Noralyn Piatt (Gene) of Paoli, Indiana
                    Alma Collier (Terry) of French Lick, Indiana

CELEBRATION OF LIFE
A Visitation to Celebrate the life of Kay will be held Saturday, April 15th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.
