Leonard Alonzo "Bub" Wolfington

Leonard Alonzo “Bub” Wolfington, age 92, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on July 31st, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on January 13th, 1923 in West Baden Springs, Indiana to John and Maude Mae (Kellams) Wolfington.

Bub married Elnora Belcher on May 29th, 1946 and she preceded him in death on June 20th, 2008.

Leonard was also preceded in death by his parents and (1) Brother – Richard Wolfington.

He was the owner of the Colonial Bar in French Lick, a member of the French Lick American Legion Post 76, the Springs Valley Wesleyan Church and the French Lick Masonic Lodge F&AM #586. He graduated from the West Baden Springs High School with the Class of 1941.

Leonard joined the United States Army in 1943 and served his county during WWII with the 207th Combat Engineer Battalion. He served in part at Omaha Beach, The Battle of the Bulge, The Crossing of the Rhine and at Remagen Bridge.

He is survived by:

(3) Great-Grandsons Jacob, Jonathon and Caleb Wolfington

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, 9640 West State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana 47432.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Springs Valley Wesleyan Church, 586 S. Indiana Avenue, French Lick, Indiana 47432.
