Michael W. Beatty, 76, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on April 10th, 2025 at U of L Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born in Bedford, Indiana on October 23rd, 1948 to Robert W. and Helen L. (Mahan) Beatty.
Mike was preceded in death by his Parents and Sisters-in-Law – Diana Beatty and Suzie Beatty.
He was a 1967 graduate of Springs Valley High School and a 1971 graduate of Northwood Institute where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the French Lick American Legion Post 76, where he volunteered for the many dinners and events they held. Mike was Vice Commander of the Sons of the American Legion and had previously served on the French Lick Redevelopment Board.
Mike retired after 35 years working in the steel mills in Portage, Indiana.
He enjoyed reading, landscaping, gardening, lawn care, hunting mushrooms, interior design, and spending time with family and friends.
Mike is survived by:
Son – Chad Beatty (Gini) of Warrenton, Virginia
Daughter – Stacey Beatty of Chandler, Arizona
Brothers – Larry Beatty of Haubstadt, Indiana, Daniel Beatty (Debbe) of French Lick, Indiana and David Beatty of Paoli, Indiana
Grandson – M.J. Beatty
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 14th, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home and on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mike’s memory may be made to Ames Chapel Cemetery, c/o Connie Kerby, 2225 N. County Road 575 W, West Baden Springs, IN 47469 or Melton Public Library, 8496 W. College Street, French Lick, IN 47432.
