Monty Lynn Farris

Monty Lynn Farris, 69, of Paoli, Indiana entered into eternal rest on November 5th, 2024 at Paoli Health and Living in Paoli, Indiana with family members at his side.

He was born in Dubois County, Indiana on January 14th, 1955 to Russell “Tom” E. Farris, Sr. and Betty Jane (Flick) Farris.

Monty was preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers – David Lee, Russell “Butch” Jr. and Roy Dale Farris; Sister – Cynda Potts and Brother-in-law – Vaughn Alan Potts. 

He had attended Springs Valley High School. He was employed by the French Lick Sheraton Hotel and later employed at the First Chance Center in Paoli until his health no longer would allow him to continue.

Monty enjoyed drawing, painting, being around family, attending family cookouts and taking rides out to the lake. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially IU Basketball, while being a big fan.

He was in good hands while still at home with wonderful caretakers; Diane Hill; Rhonda Mahan and his sister Cynda Potts.

 Monty is survived by:

Brothers – Mick Farris (Sue) of West Baden Springs, Indiana

                 Gary Farris (Justine) of Sheffield Lake, Ohio

Sister – Janie Merkel (Andy) of Celestine, Indiana

Sister-in-law – Patty Farris of French Lick, Indiana

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be Friday, November 8th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation will be Friday, November 8th, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Charlie’s Angels, c/o Cathy Chaplin 4380 S. Old State Road 145, French Lick, IN 47432.
