Ralph R. Harner, 81, of Bloomington, Indiana, formerly of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on January 4th, 2018 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
He was born in Martin County, Indiana on October 27th, 1936 to Roscoe S. and Clara Belle (Lagenour) Harner.
Ralph married Betsy Ann Johnson on June 11th, 1961 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, (1) Sister â Louise Daugherty and (1) Brother â Harold Harner.
Ralph proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, Ralph attended Indiana State Teachers College and graduated in 1962 with a Bachelorâs Degree in Business Education. He later returned to Indiana State Teachers College and obtained his Masterâs Degree in Business Education. Ralph taught Business Classes at Paoli Jr.-Sr. High School for 29 years before retiring in 1994.
He was a member of E.A.A. (Experimental Aircraft Association) and loved to fly. Ralph always cherished spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and also enjoyed his granddogs. When they owned their farm, he found it very peaceful to watch over his cows.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Phillip Andry and Brent Harner at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel, French Lick, Indiana. Burial will follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
