Rancel "Ike" Isenberg

Rancel “Ike” B. Isenberg, 91 of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on October 20th, 2024 at IU Health Bedford Hospital.

He was born in Monroe County, Kentucky on June 9th, 1933 to Hershel B. and Lona Ethel (Davis) Isenberg.

Ike married Mattie Blythe on June 7th, 1952 and she preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his Parents; Son – Jerry Rancel Isenberg; Daughter – Annette Cooper; Sisters – Mody Fox, Pearl Thomas, Ilene Woods, and Reba Crow ; and Brothers – Edwin and Wendell Isenberg. 

Ike was a member of South Liberty Church and retired after working at several local manufacturing companies – Wood Design, Kimball’s and JOFCO.

He played music all of his life and loved to share his love of music playing his guitar at the Senior Citizen’s Centers in French Lick and Paoli, and Medco. He also loved to dance, the outdoors and being with his family. 

Ike is survived by:

Son – Randy Isenberg (Darlene) of West Baden Springs, Indiana

Daughter – Carol Lewis of French Lick, Indiana

Brother – Marvin Isenberg of Monroe County, Kentucky

Sister – Anna Turner of Monroe County, Kentucky

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow in South Liberty Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
