Randall “Porky” Asbell, 62, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 in the comfort of his home surround by family.
He was born on July 12th, 1956 in Washington, Indiana to Richard and Helen “Nicholson” Asbell. He grew up in Shoals, Indiana along with 13 other brothers and sisters.
Porky married the love of his life, Yolanda “Yodi” Slaten on May 21st, 1977 and she survives.
From a young age, he worked in the woods cutting timber and driving a skidder. Porky was always working outside and spending time in the woods, where he loved to be. He loved to mushroom hunt, tinker on stuff, garden, play with his animals, and was just all around a great outdoorsman.
For the last seven years, he continued working outside by working for the Grounds Crew at the French Lick Resort. His favorite work there was driving his Mule around the grounds while watering plants and talking to everyone he knew.
Porky was preceded in death by his parents, (3) Brothers- Jim, Roger, and Preacher, (2) Sisters- Diane and Sandy

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Wayne Pendley and Pastor John Moffatt on Sunday, January 6th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the South Liberty Cemetery.
VISITATION
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday, January 6th, 2019 at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.
The family requests everyone dress casual in honor of Porky.
