Raymond “Rip” William Stout, age 80, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on January 26th, 2022 at IU Health Bedford.
He was born in Paoli, Indiana on April 7th, 1941 to Richard and Ruth (Qualkenbush) Stout.
Ray married the love of his life, Marilyn Nelson on June 20th, 1960 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and (2) Brothers – Richard and Gary Stout.
Ray was a farmer and truck driver, with a great work ethic. He was a resident of French Lick for 65 years, moving to Pekin and Gladstone, Illinois to farm from 1967 to 1982. Ray was a family man and enjoyed gardening. He was an avid coon hunter and a good marksman. He never knew a stranger, loved to chat on the phone and enjoyed watching westerns, weather and wrestling.
He brought flowers, newspapers and snacks daily to share with “Mom” (his name for Marilyn) at Springs Valley Meadows, where she’s resided the past two years.
Ray was a longtime member of Moores Ridge United Methodist Church near his home in rural French Lick.
He is survived by:

Michael Stout (Dina) of French Lick, Indiana
(1) Daughter- Rebecca Lottes (Dave) of Alfordsville, Indiana
(10) Grandchildren (18) Great-Grandchildren
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Doug Finney and Pastor Rodney Shelton on Monday, January 31st, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moores Ridge Celebration Center with burial to follow at Moores Ridge Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, January 31st, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Due to the Coronavirus, we ask that everyone wear masks and practice social distancing.
