Roy Don Love, 86, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on March 30th, 2025 at his home that he treasured for over 40 years.
He was born on April 26th, 1938 to Lawrence and Bernice (Wilson) Love in their country home near Orangeville, Indiana.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother – William “Bill” Love, and sister – Margorie (Tolbert) Stone.
He graduated from Orleans High School in 1956 and then attended Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1960. He later earned his master’s degree from Michigan State. Roy married Carolyn Boyer on August 11th, 1963 at Ames Chapel Methodist Church and she survives.
Roy began his professional career as a science teacher at both Montpelier and Carmel schools in Indiana. He was later a Director of Admissions for William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. He then returned to Indiana in the early 1980’s where he owned and operated Love Insurance Agency in French Lick until his retirement.
He was a lifelong member of Ames Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of Lions Club.
Roy was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and landscaping. He was fan of Purdue athletics, NASCAR, and old western films.
He faced his health challenges with determination and will be missed by his family and friends for his quick wit and sense of humor.

Sons – Brett Love of West Baden Springs and Mark Love (Rachel) of Mitchell
Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and loving caregivers.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Monday, April 7th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Ames Chapel Church with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, April 6th, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home and on Monday, April 7th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Roy’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana.
