Ruth Evelyn Hughes

Ruth Evelyn Hughes, 81, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 26th, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on November 24th, 1938 in Oldenburg, Indiana to George Pistner and Bernice (Rohls) Pistner.

Ruth married Ronald Hughes on September 1st, 2000 and he preceded her in death on December 1st, 2008.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents.

Ruth was a 1957 graduate of French Lick High School and received her degree in nursing from St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, Psi Iota Sorority, Indiana State Nursing Association, and Business and Professional Women.  Ruth had been employed and retired from Community Hospital in Indianapolis.

GRAVESIDE CEREMONY
A Graveside Ceremony will be conducted by Father Peter Gallagher at a later date.
