Thomas Lawrence, Jr., age 88, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on September 23rd, 2023 at Baptist Hospital Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 2nd, 1934 to Buford Gleason and Doris “Dodi” Marie (Daniel) Lawrence.
Thomas married Bonnie Weeks on December 8th, 1996 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; his first wife – Darlene (Sijecic) Lawrence; and his sister – Debbie Matanich.
Thomas was a graduate of Emerson High School and was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Third Class on a Destroyer Escort. While enlisted he honed his skills and
developed a strong sense of discipline.
Following his military service, Thomas embarked on a successful career as a Steel Salesman. He worked for Interstate Steel and later became the owner of Southern Indiana Steel Sales (SISCO). His dedication and expertise in the field earned him the respect of his colleagues and clients.
Outside of his professional life, Thomas enjoyed playing golf and line dancing. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others who shared his passions.
Lovingly known as Thomas Jr. (T.J.), he leaves behind a cherished legacy and family who will forever hold him in
their hearts.

Son – Bryan Lawrence
Daughter – Sherri Titus
Step-son – Ben Kendall
Step-Daughter – Stacey Anderson (John)
Thomas was a proud grandfather to his grandsons Bryce Lawrence and Clay Titus and step-grandchildren –
Shelby Bradley (Trey), Josh Anderson, Benton Kendall, Abby Hackney (Taylor), Jordon Creek (Brye) and Austin Anderson (Laura) and (7) Great-Grandchildren.
He is also survived by his Brother-in-law – Jeff Matanich, Nephew – Matthew Matanich, and Nieces – Kathy Matanich Seaton and Michelle Matanich Johnson.
Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 7th, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Beechwood Christian Church.
